The heads of the customs services of Belarus and Uzbekistan approved the terms of information cooperation and on August 1 they will sign a document on cooperation in the combat against customs offenses, BelTA reports in the State Customs Committee. During the negotiations which took place in Minsk today, the heads of the customs committees of the two countries paid special attention to the procedure for implementing the provisions of the 2018 intergovernmental agreement on the system of promoting mutual trade.
The relevance of this issue is determined by the fact that the priority areas for the development of foreign trade are processes which are aimed at reducing trade barriers, increasing efficiency and reducing the time of customs control and increasing trade turnover between countries. The norms set in the agreement are aimed at these priorities, the department explained. - According to the results of today's meeting, the heads of customs administrations approved the technical conditions on information interaction, the basic document necessary for the implementation of the agreement.
