Decree of the Council of Ministers of July 22, 2019 No. 481 in Belarus introduces licensing of the export of certain types of wood outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
The document established that wood (cooper wood; chopped logs; piles, stakes and poles made of wood, pointed, but not sawn along; timber, roughly trimmed, not curved or not processed another way, used for the production of canes, umbrellas , handles for tools or similar products; wood chips and similar wood; raw timber, with bark or sapwood removed or not removed, or roughly edged or non-edged) will be exported from Belarus beyond the customs territory of the EAEU under general or one-time licenses authorized to be issued by the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade in agreement with the Ministry of Forestry.
At the same time, the Ministry of Forestry agrees on an application of a license for the export of wood in the presence of an agreement between the ministry and the organization on the terms of supply of wood.
